How long has Tabit been in business?
Tabit Technologies was formed 8 years ago by Nadav Solomon and Barry Shaked who envisioned a MobileFirst Restaurant Operating System to change the world for hostesses, servers, cooks, managers, owners and most importantly customers.
Barry Shaked was previously the founder and long-time CEO and Chairman of Retalix (NASDAQ.RTLX), the worldwide leader in retail software for grocery, convenience, and petroleum segments – later acquired by NCR. 18 of the top 30 grocery retailers in the world were once his customers including Tesco, Publix, BP, Carrefour and many more.
Passionate about food, Nadav studied Food Engineering at the Technion and is a Biotech entrepreneur. Previously he worked as a Senior Strategic Consultant at Ernst & Young. Formerly a Lieutenant Commander in the Israeli navy, where he was in charge of command and control systems, Nadav is experienced in running big operations and monitoring complex systems with multiple embedded workflows.
Tabit first launched in Israel and today dominates that market for restaurant POS. Tabit launched into the US market 3 years ago, establishing offices in Dallas and Miami and a nationwide network of Gold Level Partners.
